All is well...

Nothing new to report. I've been using straight E85 since my last fill up and have had no problems. Amazingly the price for ethanol has not budged...still between $2.05 - 2.09 a gallon. Of course gas hasn't changed much either.

I've stopped reporting mileage for the most part as it has held steady, varying by 1 or 2 MPG. I don't usually fill my tank now anyway.

Tank #27

Had to put in regular 87 again unfortunately due to my location. I filled up with 11.213 gallons and averaged 19.97 MPG on the last tank of E85. That's better than I was getting before so makes me happy :)

Tank #26

The price spread between gas and E85 is getting bigger again so I decided to fill up with all ethanol. I put in 10.727 gallons at $2.06 per gallon...87 is at $2.51! On my last tank which was about a 50/50 mix, I averaged 22.80 MPG. If the prices stay this way or better, I'll stick with all white lightning! :)

Tank #25

I decided to start using a 50% mix to see how my mileage would improve. Tonight I put in 5.001 gallons of 87 and 6.728 gallons of E85. That would leave me with a little over a gallon of 87 in the previous tank, as I did not use ethanol last time. On 87 I averaged 22.68 MPG...not as good as I would have expected using straight gas. I think I need to check my K&N filter to see if it's dirty, it's been a few thousand miles since I installed it. It could be lowering my mileage.

E85 prices are holding steady at $2.06 per gallon and 87 was $2.35.

Tank #24

Haven't been driving the Fofo much since getting my Oldsmobile's. I filled up yesterday with 87 because I need to go to Phoenix a couple of times this week...I could use the extra mileage. I put in 11.643 gallons of 87 and averaged 17.38 MPG on the E85. This was after changing my spark plugs back to stock, so I guess the Iridium plugs didn't have much to do with the lower mileage.

Gas was $2.43 a gallon and E85 is at $2.05-2.09 depending on the station. I will fill up with ethanol next time. Because I'm getting such low mileage though, I may consider mixing it with regular just to boost it up a bit. maybe do a 60/40 or 70/30. That's what is great about the converter kit, you can mix any percentage you want! Comes in very handy if you want to adjust to get better mileage.

Still been issue free with running E85 though...that's great news.

Tank #23

Just filled up again today. Something is up because my mileage dropped even more! Only got 17.36 MPG this tank. It has to be the new spark plugs so I'm going to put the stock ones back in. I've lost just about 2 MPG total since replacing them...not good.

E85 is starting to creep up now. The station I filled at was $2.09 a gallon...up from $1.99. The other station I use has it for $2.05. Still cheaper than gas, but the gap is closing again.

Tank #22

Really ran the tank dry this time. I put in 12.402 gallons of E85, amazingly it's still $1.99 a gallon at one station and $2.05 at the other I use. This is still quite a bit cheaper than the $2.50 a gallon for 87.

I averaged 18.40 MPG...not great considering I put in new spark plugs...guess they didn't make any difference!

No issues of course...happy Fofo.
